2009 Summer Slam: July 10-12, 2009:
Registration Closed-Tournament Full

bballphoto1.jpgWe are no longer accepting entries for the 16th Annual Summer Slam Tournament, to be held July 10-12, 2009. The tournament is full, and we have a waiting list. If you are interested in a spot on our waiting list, please email us immediately, or call Sonja at 520-272-4910.  Unfortunately, as happens too, too often, several teams that wanted to participate are being shut out because they waited too long to commit. Don't let this happen to you for our future tournaments. Be sure you are on our mailing list, and sign up early next time. Our next tournament is our annual Holiday Tip-off, which will be the second or third weekend in December.

For those who have confirmed entries, below are links to complete tournament information and forms. Information regarding check-in will be posted soon. Please do not email or call us to ask when schedules will be available- we are targeting JULY 7 as the release date. We will send an email to all coaches when schedules are posted on the website. All teams should plan on playing at least one game on Friday, July 10, starting no earlier than 3 PM.

Sporting Chance Pledges Support for Southern Arizona Indoor Sports CenterSAISCLogoforSCYBWEb.jpg
The dream of a multi-court indoor sports center devoted to organized youth basketball and volleyball took another giant leap forward recently when Sporting Chance pledged $100,000 to the campaign. The Southern Arizona Indoor Sports Center, a public-private partnership between Pima County and the youth sports community is planned for the Curtis Park area, around River Rd. and La Cholla. The project is being spearheaded by Sporting Chance and a new non-profit organization, Southern Arizona Community Sports, Inc.  To learn more about this exciting project, or to become involved, visit us on the web at www.soazcommunitysports.org.
